Weekly Notes
Well, after several lightning delays and a day full of craziness, we pulled it off. Congrats to everyone on a well deserved perfect score this weekend. Every judge gave us the highest rating of a 1st division! We have earned a few more weeks of our season and will be competing again on Nov. 1st in Denton.
NO EVENING PRACTICE TOMORROW
NO MARCHING CONTEST THIS SATURDAY
AWAY GAME AT MAYPEARL THIS WEEK
Itinerary below -
Rehearsals this week:
We will rehearse before school every day this week, except for Friday. No evening practice on Monday.
This week's meals:
For this week's game, please pay and order by this Wednesday. We will ONLY be ordering Friday meals for students who have paid on time.
Attire for Games & Contests:
- We will perform in full uniform
You should always be wearing your travel uniform underneath your bibbers & performance top. We do not have opportunity to have ~95 students find a restroom to change in, and we must be able to throw on the outer layer efficiently. This means we are also "uniform" when outer layers come off and we all look the same!
- Black travel shirt (new or old version is fine this year)
- Black athletic shorts
- Black socks (always tall from now on)
- Black marching shoes
- If worn, hats must be black, gray, or white
- Sunglasses are fine as long as they aren't distracting
Students Need:
- Water bottle
- Flip folders
- Music for: Fight Song, School Song, Stand Tunes, National Anthem
- A clean instrument in good working condition! Tell a director if slides/valves are stuck!

Rides
It is very common for people to need help finding a ride to rehearsal. We have an awesome network of student leaders and nearby parents who would be willing to help you carpool. Take the initiative and ask other students or let a director know. There is bound to be somebody who can help!
For all potential conflicts or concerns, please email Mr. Olson. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all, we are looking forward to a great year!
